American Statesman, 65th US Secretary of State, and retired four-star Army General Colin Powell and former Florida Governor Charlie Crist are not the only Republicans jumping ship to vote Democratic in the upcoming Presidential Election.
Several Bay area Republicans are not only planning to vote for President Obama, but they're working with his campaign to convince other voters to do the same. Pam Marron is a registered Republican who now supports and is volunteering for the Democrats in President Obama's re-election campaign.

Marron says she watched the Republican National Convention and felt the party made it a point to bash President Obama, but didn't offer up any real solutions. She believes President Obama has offered real solutions, and she plans to vote for him in November.
Marron says she's had a front row seat to the housing crisis and appreciates how the President has responded to it, “He is paying attention to the over 16 million underwater homeowners in this country."
